I came across the 6Ds approach a few years back. Now I have some renewed interest as the online learning is going into the executive education/professional development space. This approach centres around how to make corporate training effective and valuable, and talks about “learning transfer”, which is described as the “missing link”. I can see the same principles applied to government or non-for-profit training as effective as in corporate. Implementation will not be as easy though as it involves more people, rather than just the training participants.
